The Government with a view to augment the income of the farm families is implementing a Central Sector Scheme, namely,"Pradhan Mantri KIsan SAmman Nidhi (PM-KISAN)".
Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Government has launched many schemes (Yojana) for the Annadatta’s of the country. And one such scheme is Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, also called PM-Kisan last year in February to provide monetary help to small & marginal farmers in India. Under PM-Kisan yojana, every farmer is given Rs.6000 in a year in separate instalments. As the new financial year has already begun, farmers who haven’t enrolled themselves for this government scheme must do it as early as possible to get financial assistance.
Rules.
All land holding eligible farmer families (subject to the prevalent exclusion criteria) are to avail of the benefits under this scheme, as per the recent cabinet decision taken during May 2019. The revised Scheme is expected to cover around 2 crore more farmers, increasing the coverage of PM-KISAN to around 14.5 crore
